Cheeze-covered Zero.

2 Irish Lasses.

Shakespearian Royal Vine.

Scratched Can.

Tend to a Blistered Malady.

Sweet Potato, Alas!

Toad Ass.

Male Progeny of Gilbert.

Ratio: Women/Growl.

The Story Behind The Story.

Shame.

Rooftop High and Reindeer Propelled.

Retrieve One Back To Your Pad.

"Perp" minus "O"

Disdain Omelet Maker.

Mexican Shell Sandwich--Very Small.

I took all the easy ones. Anyone play any others?

Well John, here Rick Fielding tells the

TALE OF THE IMPLOSIVE PEDRO

Each of my 12 strings has it's own little memory but the worst was "Pedro" the Mexican built beauty that I bought when I was about twenty. The salesman said it was built to be tuned to pitch and I foolishly believed him. Now the problem was that my girlfriend at the time felt (justifiably so) that we should be saving our money, so when I purchased "Pedro" I snuck him into a closet for the night, planning to tell her about it the next day.(after I had thought up some story to justify my purchase) About 5 am a noise like a bazooka woke everyone up with a start in our communal rooming house. People were searching everywhere for the source of the explosion......but in my heart I knew what it was. I let someone else find the broken peices of wood and wire, but I had to own up to it. Needless to say I got yelled at, AND lost Pedro one day after buying him!

...see it's like a game. The above are pun-quality homophones for the guitars we know and love. Guess I should have been more literal.

...Amos,

What job?

I throw clay for a living

No, Sorch, ya gotta think like a punster, a computer, or an idiot, whichever comes easiest to ya! Blistered maladay is a burn, see, and the idea of "tend to" could include wash, so you stretch it over that way and land up with "Wash-burn". And then we have the scratched can -- well, "scratching" is sometimes equivalent to mar, and the british call a can atin, so we get MAR-TIN...see? Whaddya mean it doesn't make SENSE!! Well, you get that "rooftop high and reindeer propelled" would just HAVE to be "Santa" plus Cruise, right? Santa Cruz. Get it? Huh? HEY!! Put that damn rolling pin away!! OW!!! Hey, SORCHA!!! PAX!!! I didn't WRITE them!!!!

Oh well. I see now, but my brain doesn't work on those tracks. And Amos, it was a #10 cast iron skillet; that's what I always use. Hell of a back swing.........

Wash= soap
burn--Scots for flowing stream, right?
so, soap stream........or

Mars= God of War
tin=canned, so
Canned War God= Martin?

Ya mean I gotta learn this shit to be a memeber in Good Standing of Mudcat? Awww, crap.

Catspaw,

Obviously you are anything BUT stupid. In my year or so of perusing and participating in forums, you stand out as the most enjoyable blend of irreverent, crass humor and warm, caring friendliness I've stummbled upon.

Your posts are insightful, helpful, funny, well written, and rarely wasted.

The answers are; Breedlove, Collings, Larrivee, Martin, Washburn, Yamaha, Froggy Bottom, Gibson, Gallegher, Taylor, Guild, Santa Cruz, Tacoma, Fender, Ovation, Takamine.

Sorry for having played Parchesi with Chess masters.

Ah, John, just tell the party-pooper to stick it in there ear and come on and have some fun...pedants and sticklers abound here, but we can't let that stop us!**BG**

Now, what would a feline footpad be doing with a blown marsupial?
