Does anyone know a source (sheet music or songbook) that has the one Allison Krause and the White House, TN choir did in Oh Brother Where Art Thou; Down to the River to Pray?

I'd love to find it too. I know someone who wrote out an arrangement for her chorus 9Songweavers) to sing. They're performing it next month in Concord, NH. I'll see if I can get it from her, but I think I'll wait till after the concert.

Doc Watson does a great version of this (don't know the album, heard him live) and Martin Simpson does an absolutely mind-blowing instrumental version of it. In fact I am listening to his version right now ........

Thanks to everyone who replied to my request. No one it seems has the tune's melody in the sheet form. I'll ask my mother (a professional piano player all her life) to listen to my CD and write the music out. She has the ear, naturally, to be able to do that. I just hate to impose on her because she hates country music. When I get it I'll repost so if anyone else needs the music I can send to you. I wish I had the gifted ear.

Hey Animaterra, did you ever get the sheet music from your friend? My cousin would still like it for her church choir. Thanks!

Hi everyone.
On the subject of "O Brother Where Art Thou", does anybody know if the song "Brother Won't You Walk Away" is featured on the sound track?

I caught a piece of this on the television and worked up a version of my own. Sawry I don't know how to write music. I just play by ear. I changed the lyrics some as well and came up with what I think is a nice compromise. Good luck with your efforts.

Access- nothing with that title on the soundtrack cd. Who sang it? What was it about? May be under another title.

Hi Guest.
To be honest I dont know much about it. It was written by "The Hooters" but other than that the only band I know that performs it is "The Phil Beer Band", and practicly every other line is "Brother Won't You Walk Away".
