Subject: RE: Lyr Req: suil a ruin From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 30 May 01 - 11:59 PM Karen, it's pretty easy with "cut and paste". BAsically I keep a notepad document handy and it has: Thread
There are about a dozen at any time there. I just paste in the url I cut out of the SuperSearch. Sometimes I have more time, and I change Thread with a more descriptive name. Once I get enough links I just cut it out of Notepad and then paste it into here. Makes it easy. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: suil a ruin From: GUEST,Jeremie Date: 31 May 01 - 09:03 AM Thanks a lot ! Well, I did not know that "suil" is written "shule" by "only english"-writers, and as I am french, I do not know how to pronounce irish... Does anybody know a link (or anyhting else) where I could learn to read irish correctly ? |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: suil a ruin From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 31 May 01 - 05:34 PM You're very welcome. Pronuciation of Irish is hard to explain. You'd have to take a beginner's course on it. It starts with letters having a different sound than in English or in French, I assume. Mixing letters do strange things, but being French, the vowel combinations should be relatively easy for you. Do a search on Irish Language and you should be able to find some information to start you off. Oh, I just remembered, the pronunciation problem is also compounded by the fact that Irish had a "spelling reformation" back in the mid-fifties. |
