From: GUEST Date: 27 Aug 01 - 10:45 PM I'm looking for the name, and hopefully the lyrics, to a folk song (possibly irish). the song tells the colourful song tells the story of a woman who makes a deal with the devil, betting him that he can't 'satisfy' her. he tries for several nights in a row but is unsuccessful. it's quite funny. does anyone know anything more about it? |

The song is properly called The Widow's Promise, though some people know it as The Devil and the Widow. See also Lyr Req: The Widow and the Devil.
It might be more accurate to describe the song as English rather than Irish. |
