Subject: RE: BS: Chest hair or no chest hair? - Pro & Con From: hesperis Date: 10 Feb 02 - 01:24 AM I like some chest hair on a man, but bare is better than overly bushy. As for shaving and eczema - if I shave, I get big ugly acne spots all over my body, plus several ingrown hairs, so I don't shave! The worst was once when I tried to shave my bikini line. I still have a couple of scars from the inflammation that resulted. I just keep all my hair very soft with oils and herbal preparations, and wear boy-cut bathing suit bottoms to hide the pubic fuzz when in public. When I was a kid, I was pestering my dad to let me taste coffee, because it smelled so good. Well, he finally gave in, and I didn't like the taste much, and then when he said "that'll put hair on your chest" I gave him a totally HORRIFIED look, and almost dropped the cup! It took him a while to realize that no, a female is not likely to want to get hair on her chest! Fortunately, it didn't prove to be true. But maybe that's why I never really got to like coffee? |

Subject: RE: BS: Chest hair or no chest hair? - Pro & Con From: Catherine Jayne Date: 08 Feb 02 - 11:30 PM Well hello everyone!!! good morning and welcome. As I have said before a slight covering of chest hair on a male is ok but I was engaged (until september when I dumped him) for 3 years to someone who really did resemble an ape and had a huge empty space between his ears where his brain should have been. Due to this unfortunate pairing I have been greatly put off excess body hair. When you want to snuggle with your chosen partner on a night you get a face full of yukky body hair!! Jez says that body hair sometimes comes in useful especially if they don't have 'love handles'........apparently it is something else to hold on to if you get what she means!!!!! An almost hairless catsPHiddle!!! |
Subject: RE: BS: Chest hair or no chest hair? - Pro & Con From: JeZeBeL Date: 08 Feb 02 - 07:10 PM ROTFLMAO? What does this mean. I can't remember. Not only do me and catsPHiddle shave our legs and underarms and bikini lines etc, we also shave our arms, full length!! We are asthmatic and suffer from excema and apparently the less hair on your body, the better your excema is. I don't know why, but it does actually help. The forearm hair does grow back quite quickly though!! Our house mate chris, bless his little cotton socks, is like an ape!! His chest is like the amazon and his back is like a grassland!! Makes it very unpleasant when he wants me to gove him a back massage!! I keep pulling the hairs out by accident. It's ok though cos we've found the hair removal cream and we'll get his back one night while he's asleep!! He's very proud of his chest hair and wouldn't get rid of it unless someone paid him a hell of a lot of money!! It is very impressive though, I didn't know a 19 year old could grow that much body hair!! He doesn't like it when I use the eyebrow tweezers on his back hair though!! As catsPHiddle said in an earlier entry, I don't really mind hair on a man, I quite like it in a lot of cases. I'm not a fussy person A very mischevious JeZeBeL!! xxx |
Subject: RE: BS: Chest hair or no chest hair? - Pro & Con From: Nemesis Date: 08 Feb 02 - 06:53 PM Well, I think this is a fascinating thread: A bald-headed man asked me today why is it that they (men) get to a certain age and their hair stops growing on their head, but starts sprouting out of their ears? Or for women: menopause (altho' I'm not planning on one of those :) - when the growth rate of the hairs on your legs slows down - giving you more time to deal with the fuzzy little moustache that appears on your top lip.... |

Subject: RE: BS: Chest hair or no chest hair? - Pro & Con From: Desdemona Date: 08 Feb 02 - 04:19 PM I'm horrified to be weighing in on so BURNING a topic so late in the day; that's what I get for going to work---sheesh! Anyway, I agree that for the most part it really depends on whom the hair is growing out of, within reason. I'd say I prefer SOME hair, otherwise it seems sort of odd (except in the case of Le Shatner, of course; he who defies all ordinary standards!). On the other hand, those hairy-backed guys you see at the beach (almost invariably in Speedos---most perplexing, really) are not at all to my personal taste. Obviously, hairy palms are right out, but rather than shaving, one could use that unfortunately named Australian product...NADS! I wonder if it's any good for blindness....? |

I can't be expected to reveal everything.... Hair on women's bodies? Well, I don't mind armpit hair at all...if I like the woman. I don't demand a bikini line from anyone. I am sort of bothered by mustaches on females, and other facial or chest hair I find a little disconcerting...but...if I liked her enough that probably wouldn't matter either. Oh, and leg hair...again, fine, if I like the woman. In fact, it's preferable to bristles, cos it's softer. Janeway? Hmmmmm. "To Boldly Go Where..." Naw, well, she's not really my type, I guess. - LH
