I had a computer crash the other day and I lost all of the record lady's web site except page # 4 can anyone tell me how to get the other 11 or 12 pages back.Thanks a bunch Louie Roy

I was able to bookmark her pages separately. There are some 45 pages of records. Not sure what your problem is, Louie.

Louie, do you mean you had saved all her records onto your computer? Is that what you lost? I have nearly all of the gospel RA files from there (and elsewhere), if you want them.

Thanks Mudcatters for your quick response,I can now relax and listen to some of the best country,western and old time music that is on the internet.This site has it all if you like this type of music and it leaves an empty feeling when you think you have lost it.Thanks again and all of you are to be commended for your unselfish help.Louie Roy

They came up with some flashy new version that doesn't work as well and tries to take over your computer.But the link on Record Lady gets you through to the RealAudio archives, where you can still get the (free) RealPlayer Basic 8 which does the job fine.

And touch wood she doesn't run into the Computer Gestapo like Honkin Duck did, which means we can't hear any of the classic 78s on that site anymore.

she claims that she is ok, because she is simply making HER collection available, and is not stealing songs from other sites...I hope she is right. She has done this for a couple of years, and the only problem is now she has no free site, and has to rely on contributions to buy space.

(I am happily collecting each new page as it comes out, and gradually making myself some 'custom' CDs from converting to MP3s and then to .wav files...)...She is a wonderful resource, and I hope the copyright Gestapo leave her alone!
