I've come across a tune sung by a woman but it's in a compilation of the Bothy Band???? Its name is Fionnghuala...I think but the song is in english and the chorus is It's over the hills, and far away it's over the hills, and far away It's over the hills, and far away And on my pipes I'll sweetly play.

The song begins Jack he was a.... something.
