Whatever happened to this highly entertaining couple, what good nights I remember from days gone by. # Jock

They are still entertaining - my group shared a stage with them at Cleckheaton Folk Festival last year

I just spent the last 3 days with Johnny Collins, who is in Canada at the moment. Gary and Vera were a name that cropped up in our reminisences sp? it's late. He said they were still performing although they do not tend to travel far/much. JohnB

They don't appear to have a website, but a search on Google has just brought up 63 hits mentioning past and future gigs and various recordings. I last saw them when they were booked at Coppull Folk Festival 2000, and Vera doesn't look as if she's aged at all in the last twenty years!

Does anyone know if Gary and Vera Aspey are still performing? I have fond memories of them and haven't seen them around for a while.

Yep - They were on at Swinton about 6 weeks ago. Vera is still clog dancing and Gary is still rabbitting! Enjoyed it very much.

Cheers

Thanks Dave.

If anyone hears of any of their gigs about to happen I would be ever so grateful if you could let me know.

Thanks
