I am trying to contact Steve Roud about his excellent Broadside and Folk Song Database. I used it at the American Folklife Center, at the Library of Congress, Washington DC. I want to contact him by email. His email address on another web site is obsolete. If you haven't used his database, it is well worthwhile looking at.

The address on the "Officers" page at the Traditional Song Forum was still current last time I used it, though that was nearly a year ago. If it's the one you've already tried, ask Martin Graebe via the TSF.

I was trying to avoid posting his email here, which is why I provided a link to somewhere where it is already listed: I don't know him well enough to know how he feels about having it published willy-nilly. Perhaps you do, Tim.

Malcolm

Public is public. All Tim has done is copy it to here so dunderdale can find it more easily. It doesn't make it any more accessible to willy or to nilly. We do have to get used to the idea that an e-mail publicly given in one place is just that.

:-)

I subscribe to his Index and have been in touch with him quite a few times, tho I've never met him personally. His email address, and indeed his home address and phone number, are already in the public domain: far from being annoyed I think Steve will welcome further enquiries.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am attempting to contact Steve Roud in relation to a book I am proposing but also just to make contact with him in general as I am very appreciative of his excellent work on English folk song!

With best wishes

Keith Sullivan
