Hey boys and girls, the equine pugilists will be there Saturday night, 18th January. There will no repeat performance of the DeanMeister's attempt to sink as low as Phil T Habetz' taste in company. Mr Axeman conducted an experiment to see how the ladies of Hornsea looked after 8 pints last Saturday, and was the subject of much hilarity in the van on the way home....

For the record, it was part of a mission to discover wether there are female humanoid lifeforms in Holderness. Not even the said amount of strong cider led me to arrive at any conclusion other than...NO. Come back to me, Noreen, my sweet? My comrades did not see the scientific side of my experiment...

Yes noreen,if you want the inside stuff on axemans exploites on that fatefull night I shall be more than pleased to furnish them to you when we next meet.Just a little taster, there was a certain amount of jealosy towards the elderstatesman of punch the horse by said axeman towards the heel of the night, so it seemed apropriate for myself and Andy to give Deany boy a little gentle teasing on the way home.Brother Oakley was out of the equation by this time, having slipped into a dream haunted sleep, peopled I believe by his beloved fresians, a slightly shit stained owl and the adorable and elusive MS Penelope Rutledge.

Noreen, the recruitment drive was splendidly successful, if you count three invitations to go dancing at the Floral Hall (Hornsea's only late club). However, I had to be taken home in the Punch-mobile, so declined like a good boy. The funny bit was that the one who stayed behind to keep trying was a totally hideous single alien mother of five children. God only knows how she managed it, frankly.

Gentle teasing, Ossonflags? You were both laughing your bloody socks off!! On a positive note, it was really good fun night out with the fellas, and it was good have a laugh again. Just like auld times, Mick. Long live Punch The Horse.

Can I just ask - in view of the Queen appearing today in a trouser suit and thus thrusting royal fashion forward by 100 years at least -can we now expect Oakley to ditch the tweed , support tights and silk headscarf - his normal wardrobe at PTH gigs in hot pursuit of her majesty (sorry republican can't bring myself to use catial letters). I think trousers, on the odd occassion, would become him.
