Our local paper today carried an AP photo of 750 naked Australian women lying nude on a field to form a heart around the words "No war". Did I mention they had on no clothes?

Sorry, DougR, at this point in time I wouldn't say no to half dozen naked women, far less 750. If the women want peace that much they're willing to strip for it, I say let 'em have it.

You go, girls. I'm comin'...

Is it effective? Dunno. But it sure draws attention to the anti-war protests, and maybe gets a few more minds thinking about peace.

And, maybe about 'gettin a peace' as a bonus!

There is something called the Lysistrata project (check it out through a search engine). On March 3rd around the world, many groups are doing a reading or performance of Lysistrata (about 300 groups have already signed up. I am considering doing one in Toronto). yours, Peter T.

I'm pretty sure 750 naked women can be completely and utterly wrong, but don't think so in this case, and don't want to know if they are in other cases. It's a subtle trick of my feeble imagination that I have always thought better, more respectfully, with greater credit generally, of every woman who has ever taken her clothes off in my visual vicinity. I always feel certain they are good trustful generous-spirited and beautiful people. Maybe this comes from how I met my wife....

There's a fairly entertaining documentary called Naked States about a modestly talented photographer taking nudes around the U.S. A fun stunt, some pretty good pictures.

Oh give me a break. You can get an entire sorority house drunk enough to spell out damn near anything you're willing to pay for at any university ( best results at one that stresses good penmanship , though ). Hell I'm sure ol' Hugh Hefner will have
the same damn arrangement forming the Playboy bunny logo by next issue. ( too late for a Valentine issue heart )

Perhaps if the Iraqui u.N. delegate had also produced satellite photos , but of nude Iraqi women ( with veils ofcourse ) spelling out "No Weapons Here" & " None Here Either" the Iraqui's would've had more effect in making their case.

Worth a try anyway.
