The hospital are very pleased with how he's doing and are taking him off the permanenet monitor. Depending on the results of blood tests and getting his medication sorted they are looking at a possible discharge date of Tuesday!!!!! We know it is going to be a long slog, but at least he's still with us. Thanks for all the hugs and love. Tig xxxxxxxxxxx |

Subject: RE: BS: Badger has a heart attack From: Hollowfox Date: 06 Apr 03 - 06:54 PM Dang! I just caught this thread, and I ran to my living room to light a purebred Hollowfox @#$%-reduction candle before I even answered this. So here's more good thoughts from the midwest USA to some of my favorite critters on the 'Cat! (BTW, I have two other friends named Badger, but you're the onlt international one.) Take care, you lot. Oh, and Badger, if you get bored, read, practice music, read the 'Cat, or get a coloring book and some crayons. Or (as I always threaten my kids), I could always find some nice boring chores for you to do. *g* |

Nonetheless and howsomever, I insist on wishing the old badger a speedy recovery and a long life. Apparently he's done something to make the beautiful and talented catsphizzle love him, so I like him as well. Long life and freedom to him and and gratuitious sex besides! |

Subject: RE: BS: Badger has a heart attack From: magician Date: 07 Apr 03 - 05:17 AM It's now Monday Morning. I'm back at The Globe after my visit to Norton. Tig and Firecat are coping extremely well with the situation. John is doing well and does not seem to have done any serious damage to himself. He has his colour back and is ready to go home. He will be coming for some R&R at The Globe over Easter where he will be intalled in a corner of the bar with a dominoes board and a pint pot. Gillie ran the pub on her own for the weekend and did a wonderfull job as landlady so I still had a pub to come back to. Thanks to all for your support and best wishes Daffydd |

Subject: RE: BS: Badger has a heart attack From: Tig Date: 07 Apr 03 - 04:51 PM He's rapidly finding out that he's no where near as clever as he thought he was. Everything exhausts him very quickly even just talking to people. I printed off the thread and took it to him today as a little 'light' reading and he has asked me to thank all of you for the good wishes and comments. Spaw, he passed your suggestion for entertainment round his area of the ward!! Hopefully we are looking at discharge later in the week. The doc said maybe tomorrow but his own nurse looked at his notes and said " Doctors know nothing" - so he's accepted that it will be at least Wednesday. Thanks again to Magician and Gillie. Col K is coming over to stay for a few days from tomorrow night - so you can contact him here. |

Subject: RE: BS: Badger has a heart attack From: mouldy Date: 09 Apr 03 - 02:38 AM Just remember that when they tell you to start going for walks, they don't mean as far as the nearest pub so that you can have a "rest" before you set off back home! When you start off, keep in mind that however far you walk, it's just as far back. Andrea xxx |
