Most people I know who ride motor cycles a lot have the wet seat tight turn motor cycle when round the turn and I was riding down the road on my ass story. Your son's sucks much more. I hope that it translates to all the other pit falls of life you have to live to learn, like the little heart attack to cut down on the fats, the swollen liver to cut back to booze, the spot on the lungs to stop smoking... I hope him a great and complete recovery and the wisdom of the ouch brigade.

in uk its commonplace 4 cyclists 2 wear head protection too, tho not law.
but riding mc's reqires helmets by law.

Well, now, from the accident/police rpt, it appears that Luke was speeding, following too closely, and was inattenntive. All BS according to witnesses. The Chief of Police in Guernsey says the "stopped bike" was a figment of everybody's imagination. We are going to have to do a civil suit to collect medical costs.

Update here, he is healing sooo fast is't unblievable. No road rash scabs on his face, stitches are out and minimal scabs on the lacerations which look like they will come off tomorrow. Left hand is still ugly but healing. Thank you all SOOOOO much! Even the Dr's have never seen anyone heal this fast.........they are amazed.

Oh yea, forgot, I'm making him a "Memory Board", got the board, sand and stain it, staple the leather coat, hospital bands, pics,etc to it and call it The Boy, The Bike and Everything. He can hang it on his wall............

I think your memory board is a good Idea - get it on TV!!!!!

Let the world know that despite the fact riding anything on the roads without safety gear - crash hats seat belts - is really nice it is nowt but bl**dy stupid!

I was lucky (esp when I came of @ 110 mph) I think it was after that I started to wear one when I was on fast journeys - not quite as dumb as I might be.

I won't even ride a Motor bike now car drivers are too inconsiderate!

I am just giving up SCUBA as a skate boarder knocked me of a pedal bike and damaged my shoulder beyond permanent repair. Safety kit is essential esp on the head.

I'm glad he's doing better. The next candle's for the medical and legal expenses. Sorry, there's not enough candles in the world to get sense in his head about wearing the helmet. Keep trying, though.
