I'm sure there has been a thread on this topic before but I'm not up to digging.

We are currently going through a very sad time here and my husband was feeling pretty down this morning, when I noticed that the swallows had returned for the first time today.

I had made a couple of birdhouses last winter to put up this spring and suggested to counteract our gloom, that perhaps now was a good time to go and "put a little birdhouse in our soul".

As he got the tools out on the kitchen table, the song that I hadn't thought of for years, until a few minutes prior, by They Might Be Giants, Build A Little Birdhouse in Your Soul, started playing on the radio. We both got goosebumps and burst into tears.

Anyone else sometimes floored by synchronistic events?

Absolutely, Metchosin. Isn't it marvelous! The nice thing is that when you've noticed it once, you realize it's been happening all along- and will continue; you can count on it.

Ya... while I was reading this thread, the song by The Police was playing in the back ground...

Every culture gets the magic it deserves.

Funny how this kind of stuff busts through every now and again, eh?

I agree with Ebbie. I think it's how we're intended to live. Kind of like tuning in to a radio frequency. If we are not finely tuned in, there is a lot of static and we may not get the message. I'm glad it happened for you today, Metchosin. Wishing you peace......KT

Thank you very much for the cyberhugs everyone. It feels really good.

My beloved, stubborn father-in -law, Bob, aged 85, once fiddler extrordinaire, who was and continues to be an inspiration to everyone he meets, regarding overcoming life's obstacles and living life to the fullest, has chosen to die at home rather than return to hopsital.

My husband and I are taking turns keeping him company, which is all that there is left to do right now. He's not getting his wish to go with his nailing belt on, but he almost managed that as well.

He certainly has had more than his four score and ten, he's tired and has more than earned his rest, but passings are still not without a lot of tears.

Here's to you Bob, Grandma's Lyesoap and Fiddler's Green.

Yep. Happens to me all the time. Sometimes it's funny, and other times it's downright creepy.

Hang in there, Mets. :-)

Oh, all the comrades that e'er I had
They're sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I had
They'd wish me one more day to stay
But since it falls unto my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be with you all

luv,

A
