On another board someone posed this question...I was hoping the good Catters could help:

Aw rats. . .I was hoping someone would have gotten it...I had a bet that you folks would find it in 12 hours tops! Sorry I can't give more information, as it was a young friend from a different board who originally asked the question I quoted above.

None of the searching tricks I use have located lyrics on the 'net.
Mind you - it is only possible to find on the www things somebody has actually posted there. If it ain't out there, you won't find it!

Well, if I had to give that song a title, I'd call it "Memory Train." As it happens, there are at least 3 different songs with that title. I think I can eliminate the two recorded by Rex Allen, Jr. and by Bad Manners. That leaves one recorded by Colors [Russ Dixon, Ryan Merrill, and Brian Tibbets, 1994] and one recorded by Kindred Way [Jon Strider and others, 1994]--which may or may not be the same song.

But I can't find any lyrics or sound samples of those.

*sigh* I am the "young friend from a different board" that Tyghress
mentioned (lol... nice to be called "young", haven't been feeling that way lately). I would have posted earlier, but my computer had a major meltdown just after posting about this song on the other board and I am just barely getting back online. Where and when I heard this song? Um, Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho summer of 1995. Someone a few doors down from mine in our dorm had a tape mix of various songs and gave copy of it as I liked it, but about a year later I lost it somewhere. I never asked where this paticular song came from at the time (yeah, dumb I know) and it seems to me she had this song labeled "Memory Train" but I am not sure. Just always figured I'd be able to track down a CD or something later, but have run into a brick wall. I can recall the song quite clearly in my mind, could even sing it, but I would much rather hear them (whoever they are) sing it. Thanks all for trying to help... I'll keep hoping.

I posted on that other site too. Even though it's been a couple years, I still want to know who sings this. As it turns out, I got that song from a friend of mine. It was the last song in a CD mix that she made when the guy she was dating broke up with her and ripped her heart out. *tear*. Funny though, she went to Ricks college, but much more recently. She's a music freak, and could tell us who sings this if only she weren't on her mission in ARGENTINA. Any leads let me know would ya?
