Just to remind everyone that Linda and I have a second Folk Barbecue planned for Sunday 14th September from 2pm onwards. It'll be the usual "Bring it and Burn it" format and I hope to have 10 gals of my beer, although the recent hot spell might not have helped the cask conditioning phase.

We had at about eighteen mudcatters at the last BBQ - for more details see this thread about it.

Good to see you & Linda at Whitby.

Dead ones might, Richard.
The wife is going to Sweet Sunny South (Old Samey Fest in Hastings) on the Saturday, but says she might be persuaded to drag me along on Sunday.

I will see what plans we have that weekend. I promised my mum and dad that I would make the trip up to Selby to see them sometime in September...however September is turning out to be a busy month!!!!

Hope to be there Dave and Linda if the last two were anything to go by it should be a good afternoon!!!

Checked on the beer - both lots seem to have survived the heat ok and should be in fine condition for the 14th. Hope to see plenty of you there for this - the last until my 60th birthday one, next June.

As I remarked on the Walton thread, now that you've had the Tit Tamper Alarm removed, I expect some cuddles.

I am still intending to go - but it may be via somewhere else first, so I don't know if you still want to bum a lift, my geography is appalling so I may never get there and if I do, it will be mid-late afternoon.....

Lady P - if you're near the DLR you could get a train to Lewisham and change to a Connex one (4 stops) to Mottingham. We're an easy 10 minute walk from the station - see map.

I had a lovely time, sea shanties at one end of the garden and Metallica from over the fence - bliss!

Thanks to everyone who turned up and made it fun - not another one now until June 2004 - mind you that's goig to be special as it will be my 60th Birthday - we might have to consider a ticket system. You never know, perhaps the legendary Dave K will even perform (we cold make it a condition of him being allowed in!).

Don't forget that there should be a chance to finish off the beer at Knockholt, next weekend.

Sorry that we never got round to singing "Happy Birthday" to you, Liz.

Dave and Linda

Sorry I couldn't get down there in the end, as one or two things came up.

It seems to have been a good do anyway.

I've just started a thread about the Buntingford winter sing. You may be up for that one

But I am not (yet) pork!

Prove:
1. There is no living pork, only dead pork.
2. I am alive.

Deduction from 1 and 2: I am no pork.
(I might be a pig though! ;-))

Andreas, to a canibal you're just "Long Pork" on the hoof !

Still you seem to have survived Noreen and she has somewhat of a reputation as a man-eater !
