Subject: BS: Didn't think I really needed help! From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 15 Oct 03 - 10:17 PM WYSIWYG As inpired by a comment in Hrothgar in Hrospital QUOTE The really funny bit: I lay there half-stunned on the ground, gasping for air and checking that my feet could move, wondering if I could ever breathe again. I pulled myself slowly to my feet, and saw that the paintbrush I had been using was lying on the ground. It still had wet paint on it, and the most important thing I could think of was that I had to get that brush into some water (I'm using water based paint) or it would be ruined. So I painfully picked up the brush, and walked/staggered very slowly around and under the house to a tap so I could put the brush in some water. Then I went and got the tin of paint I had been using, and carfully (and slowly) put the top back on it. THEN I went upstairs to have a rest. HOW FLAMIN' STUPID DOES A BLOKE HAVE TO BE? The worst thing is that telling that makes me laugh again. Owwww... UNQUOTE katlaughing QUOTE You remind me of my aunt when in her 80's, tripped and broke her shoulder, the whole enchilada. She dragged herself across the garage to a step up and the kitchen door, up and over the doorsill, then up to the counter where the phone was. She then proceeded to try reaching her daughter (not home), then granddaughter (not home), then finally the neighbour who was home and who THEN called an ambulance! UNQUOTE Robin |

Subject: RE: BS: Didn't think I really needed help! From: LadyJean Date: 15 Oct 03 - 10:43 PM As long as this thread is here, I might as well tell the Tale of the Really Drunk Tuchuck. The Tuchucks are a group of pseudo barbarians attached, loosely, to the S.C.A. They take their name from a series of bad sci fi novels, but many of them are good folks. Though they are inclined to drink to excess. On this particular occassion a group of tuchux were sitting on the ground, getting seriously plastered. One took his belt knife and jammed it into the ground. Then another took his knife and stabbed it into the earth beside his leg. The third one thought this was a great idea, but he missed the ground, and rammed his knife through his thigh. Then he pulled it out again. His buddies insisted that he go to the hospital. He didn't want to go. They had to force him into the car, and when they got there, they had to chase him around the parking lot a few times. You should know that all he was wearing at the time were three rabbit skins. Of course his friends weren't wearing much more. I'm sure the folks in the E.R. were talking about it for months. Oh, the drunk tuckuck recovered completely. We all know who God looks after, and he met both qualifications. |
