I just talked with Matthew's dad (my nephew-in-law) on the phone, and found out that Matthew got out of Intensive Care today, and is doing SO WELL that they are discharging him tomorrow morning and he will get to sleep in his very own crib tomorrow night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He had his first when he was 2 days old, and stayed in hospital for 3 months. He really is doing well, and it's so good to know that he's not lying alone in a hospital room, covered with tubes and needles, but that he's back with his loving family. Matthew is a twin. I'm sure his sister can't wait to see him again either! ~b.w. |

He will be 6 weeks old come Friday and I know what you mean about getting chubby and filling out. When he was born the nurses called him a beanpole and we teased about him having elephant knees. We were expecting really big surgery - the biggest one yet - this summer. But the doctor says that he doesn't need to see Matthew again for 6 months, and maybe then again 3 months after that - he's doing SO WELL!!!! This will be a VERY VERY happy birthday, for both twins!! ~b.w. |
