I mean the kind that have the faintly greyish, marshmallow-like interior covered with chocolate and lightly dusted with with shaved coconut. The ones made by the Ohwahee Candy Company.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I'm sorry - they must be better "in person" - but they sound, quite frankly, dis-gusting!

Australian Bacon, Lancestershire Cheese, Idaho Spuds....

Actually, they're pretty darned good. I can get them at the stores, even boxes full ready for mailing! (Santee, look out!)

Of course, I always tell the REAL story: that the potatoe is held by Idaho Law in a near-sacred status and that because of this all of the uneaten mashed potatoes served in restaurants in Idaha are collected and used to fill the Idaho Spud. But, of course, that's not entirely true.

Some friends of mine moved to Seattle and sent me some regional candy bars that I can't get here in the east. An Idaho Spud was one of them. They're not bad.

Dunno about them candy Spuds. But I do know them Idahoans worship their 'taters. I once got a burrito in Boise that had spuds in it. I didn't order it that way - it's just the way they make 'em.

By the way, how come just about everybody in the US calls the capital of Idaho "Boy-zee" but the people that live there call it "Boy-see"?
