Subject: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: GUEST Date: 11 Jan 04 - 05:40 PM OH, SURE... it's kinda like watching a pillow fight... and yet, Bush's dark pundits spin the heck out of the feathers that fly... Is this process healthy for the democratic cause? what do you think? Cheerio! ttr |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: CarolC Date: 11 Jan 04 - 05:44 PM It's too late, ttr. The democratic cause in the US died a long time ago (democratic with a small 'd' that is). |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Thomas the Rhymer Date: 11 Jan 04 - 05:53 PM Oh, OK Carol... You can just give up then... If that's how you feel... I still think this country can be saved, and if you don't mind, I'm going to continue to be hopefully chanting "Dean... Dean...Dean..." ttr |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: kendall Date: 11 Jan 04 - 05:59 PM Making damn sure they never foist electronic voting machines on us is vital to maintain our form of government. There is a hearing in Augusta on Tuesday, I shall attend. |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Thomas the Rhymer Date: 11 Jan 04 - 06:15 PM Another slight of hand there, brucie? It's fun to watch you waft your slightly judgemental nonsense... but... you kinda make me wonder what you DO care about... Cheerio! ttr |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Peace Date: 11 Jan 04 - 06:26 PM The same things you do, TTR. Don't let your view allow you to think others have none of their own. BM |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Bill D Date: 11 Jan 04 - 07:18 PM yep..Carole Mosley Braun. She kind of gets ignored most of the time. |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Don Firth Date: 11 Jan 04 - 08:28 PM Observation: When Democrats form firing squads, they tend to form them in a circle. Aphorism for Democratic candidates prior to the convention: When vying for the presidential nomination, it is not wise to speak too bitterly, for all but one of you will have to eat your words. Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Peace Date: 11 Jan 04 - 08:30 PM Don: Never heard that one before. LOL. I'll use it here, but I'll insert Conservative for Democrat. Thanks. |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Thomas the Rhymer Date: 11 Jan 04 - 08:37 PM Yep, McGrath... and a darn fine president she would make of it too... sad she's being ignored, isn't it? Remember though, it's been all spin up to now... finally the people will begin to speak... haven't really had much of a chance lately... It feels so strange, to watch all these candidates... as these Democrats duke it out,, any one of which would do an absolutely commendable job compared with Bush... |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Charley Noble Date: 11 Jan 04 - 08:40 PM Well, let's not let Newsweek and Times dictate our choice of Democratic nominee. I did enjoy reviewing the transcript of the Public Radio debate. A highlight for me was when Denis K. held up a pie chart to reinforce his point to the radio audience... I'm most interested in Dean and Clark. Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: Amos Date: 11 Jan 04 - 10:13 PM Dean's the best shot I see -- he has his wits about him and he is motivated by the right things. He reminds me of Truman, a point which his campaign committee is now elevating to a theme...but I thnk he has what it takes and he will be a hellofa lot more representative than Mister "Diplomacy by Overwhelm" Bush. Subject: RE: BS: When good men beat each other down... From: MAG Date: 11 Jan 04 - 11:33 PM Well I was a Carole Moesly B. supporter from way before NOW endorsed her, as I lived in chicago when she was starting her political career there in the state legislature. She has always been a person of integrity and frankly has the best qualifications. I said that to a Dean supporter of my acquaintance who replied that yes, she was excellent but didn't have a chance of winning. So, people at this stage of the game are already deciding on the basis of who is electable? Mick, I gather labor is pro-Gephart. What is his position on foreign relations? That is what tends to cut it for me. MA, anti-imperialist. (yes, guys; that too.) |
