There is a consensus -- Well, it's not really a consensus because there are only three or four people who believe it, but it's damned well a consensus among them -- that the Father of all BS Threads is last year's Happy Birthday to Spaw thread which grew to 404 posts and stayed on the page for over two months. No mean feat considering that a birthday generally only lasts 24 hours.

HEY! Isn't it about time for Carol the Sailor to fuck up and start this year's Spaw's Birthday Thread two months before the actual event???

LH - there only needs to be one Motherthread - I suspect that, like fleas, once impregnated, they lay thousands of eggs. We have had the first Motherthread, where else do you think all these BS threads came from?

I thnik the fomrula wuold be (n - 2)!, wrhee n = number of letters. For elmpaxe, a seven letetr wrod would have 5! varaints, equalilng 120.
