Hi all,

sorry we are off line for the foreseeable future, our home has been lifted out of the water and is now sat on some concrete so can't connect easilty to talk to you guys.

Can't even upload the photo of the lifting!

As soon as she is back in the water 'I will return'

if you really feel any urgent desire or need to speak to me my email is on the profile pages I think.

Missing you all already!

Andy

for some folks to have a home that requires lifting from water might presume a flood or disaster of some sort...I think for your home being in water is/was a natural state, and not a disaster. hope you get back a-float soon!

I take it that it's only a biennial bottom scrape Andy? 'Hope it's all going well. We're off on the K&A and up the Caine Hill flight on May the 9th - can't wait! See you at Chippers?

Love to Stepper!

No - broken rudder, wire lock Cill K&A on the way back form Caen Hill,

We went down it (just uis two and the dog who was no use) in 2.5 hours and back up it (with another boat too) in 2.25 hours.

for anyone who reads this the hill has 17 locks inl,ess than a mile, I cna't post a photo as I can't get to my web area without teh boadband and the boat is stuck up on wooden chocks awaiting a rudder repair!

Yup Tony see you in Chippenham. I have less to do than normal so will be in the Pub a bit more!

Andy

110, roof tent, narrow boat, Caen Hill,....Lucky git!......mutter, mutter.......

It ain't much fun hanging the rudder on a cill, still, it could have been worse, imagine the cill on Bath deep lock, 22 feet dosen't bear thinking about. Hope you are all afloat again soon, all the best.

Wassail!

Chris

No it won't keep me from Yorkshire!

I'll just be sleeping on top of a Landrover instead of a boat currently floatin on a sea of concrete and gravel!

We can stick your landrover in the Selby Canal - not too far from the pub - if you really want to feel at home...
Quack!
