Bill Stevens ( okthen )has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is awaiting his first cheameotherapy session. Bill has been an avid reader and contributor to Mudcat for four years and is where I got to know him.

I'm sure all Catters will join me in wishing well to Bill, and to his wife and family.

Consult, if you well, the research reports cited by physician Larry Dossey on the subject; there is a strong case for the non-local impact of thought and (another way of putting it) the efficacy of prayer, generally speaking, sometimes independent of whether the subject is aware or not of being the subject.

You are absolutely right that the self-determined intent is primary.

Many thanks to you all for your good wishes, and prayers. I've been out of hospital for 2 weeks and have started chemo therapy (1 session)I have also had cryo-therapy at Papworth.
These last few wheeks have been something of a blur and for reasons of self preservation have tended to be in a different dimension, I have checked into MC but the chemo is energy sapping and haven't participated much.
On a positive note the cryo-therapy has an almost immediate and beneficial element that has cheered me up up somewhat.
If anyone feels like offering a prayer I'd be grateful if it was in the direction of Saint Pio, thanks.
I have a long road to get out of these woods, and it's early days, but I feel more positive now and will carry on.
Thanks again for encouragement, I will keep you posted as best I can.
