Subject: Tune Req: Rambling Rover - Bob Fox version From: Nick Date: 01 Oct 04 - 06:19 AM In Bob Fox's version of Rambling Rover he plays a tune as part of the intro to the song and also in the middle of the song. I have heard the tune played at a session I was at in Whitby a long time ago but don't know its name. Could someone tell me what it is called? Thanks |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Rambling Rover - Bob Fox version From: GUEST Date: 04 Oct 04 - 05:50 AM Nick, could it be "Bill Collins' Jig" a.k.a. "Dan Collins' Father's Jig"? I can't find a good MIDI right now, but just try tunedb or any other tune database and you'll find it. T. |

Blame the cookie monster ;-) Anyway, I've been listening to Fox's "Rambling Rover" again, and I think that the jig that is played in the middle is called "The Gander in the Pratie Hole". Hope this helps, T. |
