Subject: RE: Get Well Soon Jon Freeman From: SINSULL Date: 04 Nov 04 - 01:01 PM "Thanks for asking" indeed! You damn fool - some of us are worried about you and now that Kendall has Jacqui I am free to concentrate on you. Poor Jon! Mick is right. This is not going to be easy but take it one day at a time. And sometimes, accept what the experts are telling you at face value. In time, you will be able to see the truth of it. When it is too hard - do it anyway because you are worth the effort and there is a world full of people who need and love you. And Pip deserves the best from you, Jon. Mary |

Subject: RE: Get Well Soon Jon Freeman From: Big Mick Date: 04 Nov 04 - 12:01 PM Jon, you hang tough and listen to the counselors. They will be forcing you to accept some things that you won't want to. You will have tough times, but I am confident you can deal with it. I hope you will reach out to friends. You are in my prayers. All the best, Mick |
Subject: RE: Get Well Soon Jon Freeman From: GUEST,Jon Date: 04 Nov 04 - 11:44 AM I'm still here Sinsull. I have not had an alcoholic drink since my admission to hospital although I've been out to a pub a few times. I've got an appointment with NORCAS (a very respected regional service that offers drink and drug counselling) tommorrow morning and an appointment with my GP in the afternoon. I'm feeling fine and am hoping to get into Norwich for the session tonight although I won't be taking an instrument. Thanks for asking, Jon |
Subject: RE: Get Well Soon Jon Freeman From: SINSULL Date: 04 Nov 04 - 11:20 AM So how is the man with the sexiest voice on Mudcat? I think of him (and his banjo) every day. Give us an update, someone... |
Subject: RE: Get Well Soon Jon Freeman From: GUEST,Jon Date: 01 Nov 04 - 06:27 AM Thanks again for the kind words. One thing I'd forgot to say before was thanks also for the cards. I must check with the hospital later this week as I know of at least one sent there that didn't arrive before I was discharged... One good thing for me so far is I've even been out to a pub 2 nights on a row and haven't even fancied anything other than a soft drink. It's not felt anything like a battle of wills - long may that continue. Jon |
