Subject: RE: BS: Cryptic crossword clue From: Helen Date: 08 Dec 04 - 04:41 PM I read a page of some of the best & cleverest crytpic crossword clues and answers in a trivia book about 20 years ago. I wrote them down on the back of two scrap library catalogue cards and kept them, but could only ever find the answers and not the clues after that. I remember a couple of them: Clue 1: Orphan has neither view Clue 2: What the Greek tailor said (and I just found a reply from the Greek customer) Clue 3: She, too great for words, can never have children There were more but I can't remember them at the moment.
