Arr but the bar is in the same room at Letchworth. And that's not fair about the credits, I want to book up my spotlight next time I see you.

Good to see that 'stopping bickering' wasn't on anyone's new year resolution list

Blimey Moses - you knocked em dead at the Blue Anchor last night

Bet she was too modest to plug her gig at the Spotlight though.

Ross - you say the nicest things! And you're a Gent - willing to give up your comfortable armchair for me to sit in.

Breezy - I'll plug it now then:- (you can start a new thread nearer the time if you like) - The Ref and I will be appearing at the Spotlight on 30th January 2005 - our first "official" gig as a duo.

There'll be some of the "old" songs and maybe one or two new ones.

Moses always thinks carefully and plans her sets very well, hope Ross puts it in his diary and helps spread the word.

But this week we have Lynne Heraud, Hannah and Nick, and Thorn and Roses.

Pretty high quality performers.

Thorn and Roses will also be appearing at Waltham Abbey on Monday

Cornwall is a long way to come from ,so do try and support them,so we can give em their Tamar Bridge toll money.

As I just said on The Millstream thread. I was just sitting in an 18th Century Coaching Inn, next to a roaring fire, drinking real ale, looking out at the dark and the rain and the cars, thinking this is very nice, when they ran out of Adnams, which no problem usually, but all they had left was Green King I.P.A WHICH IS VERY MUCH A PROBLEM. So I came home, in the dark and the rain and the traffic. CU all I hope at Letchworth on Friday, or somewhere soon. Where is Bertie, anyone seen him?

A very good evening

Hosted and opened by the ref,
followed by an entertaining couple of songs from Lynne Heraud who is one of the folkscene's gems, but becoming a bit of a heckler in St Albans. But we dont mind do we?

Then the amazing voice of Hannah Harris with Nic on guitar took us in another direction, they'll be doing a Spotters in the Spring, distinctive and relaxing.

then the incredible guitar of Chris Flegg and Steve Last took us to the interval

The 2nd 1/2 was set up for 50 minutes of T and R who despite not being able to read their 'notes' soon relaxed into the spotlight mood and warmed to their theme of tight harmonies featuring clear lyrics from Rowena and Sylv and the smooth rich bass of Jinks, who does a one man voice squad tribute.

Their programme was varied and entertaining and they had to do 2 encores.

Their interpretation of Lynne's own song 'Willie' had the audience laughing heartily, well suited to their talents.

The time flew.

A treat

Hope they have a great evening at W Abbey tonight

Club opens this Friday with Kevin Buxton and Sunday its Pat Crilly

at the Legion in Verulam Road, St Albans
