Monday is vitally important! Many heart attacks and strokes are scheduled for Mondays. Eliminating Monday would cause a serious log jam in the emergency room.

We need Monday to moan.
The days of the week were not named after the planets but the activities ascribed to them -
Monday - moan day, back at work we moan
Tuesday - The T should obviously be a Y giving You 'as day. As in You 'as to larf.
Wednesday - Wouldn't day. As in Wouldn't it be nice if it was the weekend
Thursday- Theres day. Theres got to be more to life than this
Friday - Freeday . Freedom from toil comes on Friday night.
Saturday - its got to be obvious. What did you do? Sat about.
Sunday - So now day. So now thats over I've got to go back to work tomorrow.

I think it ironic that my local Leisure Centre has, on a Monday, the day when most heart attacks happen, a Cardiac Rehab excercise class at 10.00am..... it's just a myocardial infarction waiting to happen!

Actually, I like Mondays. I work on weekends (if you wanna call what I do work). Monday's the day I get to spend some of the money I made over the weekend.

Sorry. Never heard of it. Don't watch much videos except Bravo and I listen to the cable channels and CMT while I am working. I do love the song JennyO quoted by the Boomtown Rats. Excellent piano.

(reminds me of a game...(like the thread name game)...of marrying odd folks...we could have had Tuesday Sunday....or if Tuesday Weld married Frederick March II, we'd have Tuesday March the 2nd)

Need Monday's to get over the hangover earnt on the Sunday, ditto Sunday is needed to recover from Saturday, likewise Saturday is needed to recover from Friday.....if you took Monday out it would break the whole chain.

Mind you if you get rid of Monday then a year would be about 60 weeks long making each month a regular 5 weeks, so then you could count the weeks more easily on your fingers...... OK I'll sod off
