seems to me,it's gettin ny on to the time fer snoflies ta start comin out,anyone seen any yet,i've seen thim as early as july fore.
yet always seems like i'm tryin ta get home fore they fly.

I posted this idea a few years ago, Snofly. I've always wondered what happens if the Snowflies get there first. I used to worry about it back in the 70s when I first heard the song.

Dunno if there is a set time for snoflies- I've seen them in the mountains as early as late August, and as late as early July. They are hardy critters.

Speaking of critters- I used to do a lot of hiking in the mountains of Oregon - Question: What are thos insects that look just like mosquitoes that one sometimes sees zipping around in the snow?
