Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 20 Dec 05 - 11:34 AM I was so captivated by the talent ,and all that food that we had there last night that I forgot to give you your surprise. It goes with my complaint. If you will send me your address, via a message, I will send it to you with the newspaper write up when Iv'e done it. I agree, it was a good night and thanks for your contribution after such a long drive. Eric. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 20 Dec 05 - 11:45 AM I was so enchanted by all that talent and food we had last night that I forgot to give you your surprise. It goes with my complaint. If you will send me your address, via a message I will forward it to you as well as the newspaper cutting when Iv'e done it. Many thanks for your contributions after driving so far. Eric. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 20 Dec 05 - 11:50 AM I must be going Barmy. How do you cancel a mudcat. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Carol Date: 20 Dec 05 - 12:28 PM Don't know Eric, perhaps you stamp on it!!! Was the message for me or Sooz? |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Rasener Date: 20 Dec 05 - 12:39 PM You can start a new thread Eric And this one will just dissapear off the face of the earth. What you can't do on a normal thread, is remove a post or edit it. Thats the way its meant to be. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 20 Dec 05 - 12:47 PM I am going Barmy. The message was intended for MoorleyMan. Sorry girls, you've had enough surprises. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Rasener Date: 20 Dec 05 - 01:04 PM You could have clicked on the PM to the right of Moolrymans post and sent him a private message. That way only he sees that. Now we are wondering if there is anything going on with you and Moorlyman LOL :-) |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Sooz Date: 20 Dec 05 - 01:05 PM You can edit a permathread - and it doesn't clog up the server for ever and a day! |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: MoorleyMan Date: 20 Dec 05 - 01:14 PM Just got back and read your message Eric. Surprise eh?! OK, will PM you instead. But how can a surprise go with a complaint? Surely I didn't behave that badly now did I?!!! No Villan, don't fret cos there's nowt goin' on with us two, honest! Can't be can theer? - I only met Eric for the first time last night after all ... See y'all soon. M |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 20 Dec 05 - 02:28 PM Joe has set up a permathread for me but I don't know how to use it. Anybody help me, in simple language? It was,and remains, my intention to let this thread pass into oblivion in the next few days but first, I'm told,I can retain certain messages. How? |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Sooz Date: 20 Dec 05 - 03:06 PM When you look at your permathread, there are more hyperlinks in the bar below each post than the rest of us can see. Go to the one which says delete message, click on it and confirm and the job is done. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Rasener Date: 20 Dec 05 - 05:02 PM MM I aint fretting. Just thought we might have a bit of juicy gossip. LOL :-) Blind date one night stands come into mind LOL Only kidding of course |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 21 Dec 05 - 11:29 AM There's now't like a bit of titilation to get the tongues waggin. Just between Villan and myself, he's coming back. Must be a glutton for punishment. Still havn't got the permathreads sorted out and I'm getting short of time. Iv'e come to the conclusion that my computer is different to everybody elses. How do you convert the existing thread to a permathread to edit it? I tried Carol's solution and that didn't work either. So I went to bed. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 21 Dec 05 - 04:12 PM Have just been looking back, preparatory to this thread passing in to oblivion. I shouldn't have said, my complaint, Moorleyman, I should have put, my condition. We certainly had no complaints about your performance,in case your wondering what you did wrong. Did Santa come early on the 22nd.?. |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Rasener Date: 21 Dec 05 - 05:53 PM Eric you haven't got a perma thread at the moment. You need to send Joe Offer a pm to ask him to set a perma thread up for you. Then you will be able to titlate and edit that one |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 22 Dec 05 - 06:04 AM There,s something strange happening.I posted this message last night but it isn't recorded. Thanks for your interest Villan. But Joe set up a permathread for Ep'th Folk last week. I have seen it but the only way I know of accessing it is via Joe's PM. It's only a short one and contains a number of refresh messages but I don't know what to do with it from there. Am I thick or something? |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Sooz Date: 22 Dec 05 - 07:15 AM Load up the permathread from Joe's message and add a post in the normal way. It will then appear in the forum for the rest of us to see! |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 22 Dec 05 - 04:21 PM Thanks Villan for working your magic. I don't know what you,ve done but it,s very impressive. I havn't got time to figure it out Early tomorrow morning is my deadline. In desperation I printed it off so I have a personal record which I intended to put back on the next thread. It can go to the graveyard in the sky now. Iv'e run out of time Thanks a lot Eric |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Rasener Date: 22 Dec 05 - 05:37 PM You are very welcome Eric Its dead easy if you know enough about computers. Only took me a couple of minutes. Is there anything else you want copying over ? Les |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Rasener Date: 22 Dec 05 - 05:40 PM oops I tell a lie. More like 13 minutes. Doesn't time fly when you are having fun. :-) The 2 minutes was me. the 11 was Mudcat working its slow refreshing LOL |
Subject: RE: Epworth Folk Club From: Ep' Eric Date: 22 Dec 05 - 07:32 PM Villan ,Could I ask that you transfer Dec.20 Morleyman and Dec. 5th. Not a lot of attenders......... from Georgian silver. If you can, Thanks a lot. Eric |
