This month I've taken 7 days off work already to go skiing. I've been snowshoeing several times, including moonlight snowshoes. And my birdfeeders have been booming with customers. The sun seems more powerfull with all the reflection as well. My sarengettis are getting their workout as well.
And who can despute that Snow covered Pines are one of the most beautifull sights ever.
I even enjoy shoveling it with Jimmy Buffet on the IPOD.

I'm so high on life I could OD.

I remember when I first went from Presque Isle, Maine, to Biddeford, Maine, in late winter back in 1976. It was like stepping into a whole new season. I left Presque Isle in near blizzard conditions and arrived in Biddeford to find green grass and people on motorcycles. I think that was what drove me to change schools to Saint Francis College (now University Of New England).

I remember when I was a teenager in Wisconsin, seeing photos of California Bikini Babes skiing in the mountains. I couldn't imagine anybody wearing a bikini in the winter in Wisconsin - August is the only month suitable for bikinis there.

Well, today we have beautiful snow here in the Sierra Foothills above Sacramento, but I haven't seen any Bikini Babes....

We get some spring skiing in bathing suits here in March.

When the sun beats down you can get quite warm.

With help from Irish Coffie of course.

Your certainly not going to see any bikini babes out this way in the next 2 days.

gnu .. it's expected to be worse tomorrow with wind chills more sevre than today ... this is one negative factor on living by the ocean ...ya get those damned winds.

Somehow, not having snow makes the cold seem .. well much colder.

We've had now snow at all, this winter, here in Manchester, UK. And yesterday (Saturday) the early crocuses were in flower and I saw a hoverfly feeding on one.

Hi again... sorry I was busy for a bit. I think you should start a thread titled "Phot says hello" or something. A lot of people who would like to say hello back will miss your posts here.

As a matter of fact... I think I will do it right now.

I've been wondering, Raptor, if there is a way to transfer all the snow in Orillia over to your general area. If so, let's look into it.
