Basically, I'm bored ...... So lessee here............... First the details that we know are in Max's update thread but the kid will be along (pop outta' the shoot) about November).....Could be male or female or a small guitar for all I know but it needs a name!!! How about Jonathan Livingston Spiegel? That way he could be known as "Seagull" Spiegel. Or since Max and Emily are sort of "M and Em" than maybe the kid might be called "Peanut." If they have twins the other could be "Plain." How about in a nice tribute to Al Capp (I have no reason to pay tribute to Al Capp but who cares?) we name the kid Evil Eye Fleegle Spiegel? Or what about Eagle Spiegel? People would ask, "Where did you get that name?" and the child could say, "My mother was a beautiful swan and my old man was a complete turkey." I already suggested "Cletus" on the other thread. Spaw's pretty nice too ya' know? For some reason I can't think of a good girl's name.....I mean nothing so fine as Cletus or Spaw anyway.......... Ya' know, when we adopted Tris we knew he was likely to have severe retardation problems but those can take on any number of forms of course. We have been blessed with what problems he has and he works hard in school, learning things far beyond what we ever hoped....and he continues to grow.....as opposed to my "normal" son Michael who has unforunately grown only into a teenager (read: sullen, rude, sleeps a lot, bored with the world, sorta' tolerates us, grunts at semi-appropriate times.....you know), Tris continues to have serious speech problems Though we both wanted to name him Tristan, if I had known he was to have such a speech problem we'd have named him Joe. Poor kid has a lot of trouble with "TR" and it's not only his name, trucks are his favorite things.......***sigh***............... Spaw |

None of us would have anything to do with him. I bet he would have settled for "Flip" or "Spot." Anything but "Tulip"! My favorite name for a girl is a traditional Ethiopian name "Tejitu." It literally means full of honey wine, or less literally full of spirit. My favorite Ethiopian name for a boy would be "Tilahun" which means shadowy. There was also a short run TV 'stop animation' series Gogs where the central characters were a family of pre-historic people. The series origianlly aired on S4C (Sianel 4 Cymru) (tr: Channel 4 Wales) and was not seen by everone as being 'pc'. This is partly because 'Gogs' is a pejorative term sometimes used by those from South Wales to describe the less 'civilised' North Walians.
