It's time for me to intervene again. You lot (especially LITTLE HAWK who really does have a stake in this thread) have gotten very slack and my prediction made 15th June 06 (see footnote) is now getting seriously off track. Get posting you lazy lot.

I'm off on holiday for a few weeks and would greatly apprieciate it if you could all make some serious contributions to this thread while I'm out. I really don't care if LH ever gets to get down with WR, as if you look back to his negative view of this tread in the very begining when it was just a tread and not a quick and easy way for LH to get laid ( don't take any of this personnally will you LH)there is more at stake here. Really this tread is just about the ability of peole around the world coming together to contribute in a meeningfull way to a utterly meeningless thing (for want of a better word) and if we can just get this thread to 5000 we together will have sucseeded in out stated goal so come lets do it!!!

On a personal level, Chongo has my 6 o'clock and Little Hawk is right on in the forgiveness department. I couldn't have said it better myself.

My path is a bit different from Chongo's. I'd say this:

Forgive everyone, including yourself. (That doesn't necessarily mean you tell them so! Just do it quietly inside.) Let go of the past. You can judge other people's actions, but don't judge the people themselves. Find something you totally love, and do it. Put your energy into being happy. Enjoy the moment, because the moment is all you will ever have. Love yourself and love life. If you manage those two, you will certainly love others.

(Most of that, however, is not easy at all, and I have had a very hard time managing to do any of it....so I'm not surprised if other people might be in the same boat as me when it comes to that!)

Chongo's lessons: Always carry a loaded gun. Safety never on. Keep extra ammo. One clip may not do. Never pay the rent early, cos people will figure you for a soft touch. Always keep one clean change of clothes, just in case you might need 'em. Get yer shoes polished regular, you don't wanna look like a bum. Wear a good quality hat.
