Subject: BS: Scary comparisons From: dianavan Date: 22 Jul 06 - 06:46 PM If Israel and the U.S. can bomb any country that harbours terrorists, is it O.K. for other countries to do the same? Earlier, someone gave the example of IRA blasts in Britain. Did Britain bomb the Republic of Ireland? How about Mumbai - should India bomb Pakistan and Bangladesh? I'm sure we can think of other examples. Please feel free to add to this list. |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: Peace Date: 22 Jul 06 - 06:56 PM "If Israel and the U.S. can bomb any country that harbours terrorists" The fault with that 'logic' is that Israel is bombing a country from which the terrorist organization launched a raid and lotsa rockets. |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: Bunnahabhain Date: 22 Jul 06 - 07:33 PM How about nobody should bomb anybody, nor should have to, but the world doesn't always work that easily..... |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: Rapparee Date: 22 Jul 06 - 10:11 PM Recent events in Canada prove that Canada is harboring terrorists. Ergo, I am recommending that the US bomb Canada to prevent terrorism. |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: alanabit Date: 23 Jul 06 - 08:04 AM Apparently only America is allowed to do this. Other countries regard some of the US advisory personnel and CIA trained thugs sent to various countries to be terrorists too. I do not advocate bombing America. However, I would like to see your president show a little more compassion to those families, who have the misfortune to live close to terrorists. Were bombs to explode in the estates which house CIA killers and torturers, more Americans might be persuaded that the blanket bombing of terrorists is a rotten idea. |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: *daylia* Date: 23 Jul 06 - 09:42 AM On second thought, 'the West' attracts terrorists just like trees attract beavers. Just to be fair! |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: Paul Burke Date: 24 Jul 06 - 06:36 AM The London bombers were British. And the Oklahoma bombers were American. Let's all bomb ourselves back to the stumm age! |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: GUEST Date: 24 Jul 06 - 07:19 AM Did Germany bomb the USA? We had no right to attack Germany. All jews would have died in German concentration camps. The we would not have any terrorisim today. This is where your PC logic takes you. |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: GUEST,Josh Date: 24 Jul 06 - 07:41 AM Here is a scary comparison: The killing of an innocent Jew by an Arab is not agression and it is justified. The killing of an innocent Arab by a Jew is agression and is not justified. If civilians are dying in Lebanon becuse the Jews fight back it is because Hizbollah (party of God) wants it that way. That is the way they planed it. That is a success for them. If civilians in Israel are dying because of rockets launched from Lebanon by Hizbollah, it is because Hizbollah wants it that way. That is a success for them. If you safe, protected Americans had rockets raining down on you, you would do the same thing. |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: dianavan Date: 24 Jul 06 - 01:40 PM "Israel is believed to have about 100 women and 300 under-18s among the more than 8,000 Palestinian prisoners in its jails." "There is one soldier, but there have been hundreds of Palestinians kidnapped from their houses," says the writer, referring in part to his wife who he says was dragged from their Ramallah home by Israeli soldiers early one morning. "If the world protests about the kidnapping of one soldier, why don't they protest about the Palestinians that have been kidnapped in the last 10 years," Mr Houdaly adds, sitting in his Ramallah office with books scattered across his desk. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5122056.stm If another country did this to citizens of any other country, there would be a very swift re-action. Why has the world turned a blind eye to the plight of Palestinians? Don't they have a right to defend themselves? |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: Kim C Date: 24 Jul 06 - 01:42 PM I think they should just play a good old-fashioned game of Risk, myself. Or maybe Battleship. |

Subject: RE: BS: Scary comparisons From: GUEST Date: 27 Jul 06 - 10:00 AM A scary comparison: Kidnapping is equivalent to arrest and detention. What does an Arab call it when *they* arrest someone and detain them? Do they call it a kidnapping? |
