Subject: RE: BS: Do you fancy Ann Widdecombe? From: GUEST Date: 25 Sep 06 - 06:42 PM Christ, you really have got something here Little Hawk. I have had a thing for Ann for a few years now. She did a book signing in London two years ago. She wore a white silk blouse and a very tight black pencil skirt which was split to the thigh. My God it was a vision. Many make nasty remarks about her but I think she is a lovely woman. She has a great body for her age, a very shapely bottom. I read some time back that Hugh Grant asked Lord Coe to get her personal number. Lord Coe told her this, her reply was, nice looking guy, but I am not interested. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do you fancy Ann Widdecombe? From: JennyO Date: 25 Sep 06 - 10:38 PM I got it down to 4 seconds. Slippery little bugger, isn't she! And no, I don't fancy her at all. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do you fancy Ann Widdecombe? From: Little Hawk Date: 25 Sep 06 - 10:52 PM Well, Guest, I am actually rather pleased to hear that Ann has some real admirers out there. I happened on the "game" totally by accident while Googling and thought..."Hmm...this looks like something that would be good for entertaining idle minds. Must post it on Mudcat at once." ;-) |

Subject: RE: BS: Do you fancy Ann Widdecombe? From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 26 Sep 06 - 01:19 PM This makes it two threads about Widdecombe Fair currently up on the Mudcat at present. (See up in the Music section.) I have decided that on balance I quite like her. She may have gone blonde, but she is not grey, unlike most of her colleagues in all the main parties. |

Subject: RE: BS: Do you fancy Ann Widdecombe? From: Strollin' Johnny Date: 27 Sep 06 - 02:34 PM A while back, I saw some footage of her speaking at an Oxford Union debate when she was a student there - I'd guess she was aged around 20 then. She was quite a tasty piece back then, very slim, long dark hair, very fetching in a long white (or cream - it was recorded back in the days of monochrome TV!) dress. Most of us aren't what we were when we were 20, are we? (Tell the truth!). S:0) |

Subject: RE: BS: Do you fancy Ann Widdecombe? From: Jeanie Date: 27 Sep 06 - 03:55 PM You beat me to it, Strollin' Johnny - I was going to say exactly the same thing. I actually spent a little while yesterday searching on Google for some early photos of her - but couldn't find any. If you ever watch the opening credits of the TV series "Grumpy Old Women", you will see a picture of the youthful, attractive Ann (along with the youthful versions of all the other "Grumpies"). [ Personally, I don't think she's doing too badly for someone who will be 60 next year!] The same can also be said, I think, for the now much maligned looks of Camilla Parker-Bowles. You are quite right: most (I would say all) of us are not what we were when we were 20. Thankfully, we become of an age where such things have little importance ! The same applies to men, of course. The faces of those gorgeous young actors I used to drool over - such as Hywel Bennett and David Hemmings - became almost unrecognizable as their younger selves in later life. Let's say, "lived in" :) And that is just as it should be. - jeanie |
