Subject: House of the rising sun on Stan Carew-cb From: GUEST Date: 26 Oct 06 - 11:34 AM About two weeks ago on Stan Carew, CBC Radio one) Stan played a version of House of the rising sun by a country singer of the forties/fifties era but I didn't catch the singers name..can anyone enlighten me as to who it was. It was a very interesting version of the song. |
Subject: RE: House of the rising sun on Stan Carew-cb From: GUEST,Richie Date: 26 Oct 06 - 11:44 AM Might have been Clarence "Tom" Ashley singing "Rising Sun Blues." It's played more like a blues in E major, not many chord changes. Richie |
