Just remember that some Santas are not allowed to use the computer because they haven't tidied their rooms... so there is a Santee out there who will have heard nothing.... blame it on parental control and "tough love".

Does that mean that said Santee is not eligible for pressies, either?

*Starts counting the money in preparation for a spending spree. Now, what would I like to get for me, then?? Black Goth earrings? Hmmm.. possibly.. Lego Pirakas? Nah.. I'm too old for that, surely (although the Ball Shooter and Zamor Spheres are pretty neat).. Think, think.. Ah.. CHOCOLATE, of course, LOTS of chocolate :o))

Geez, even JACQUI's got a santa now. And I cleaned my room before I went to the Getaway, Jason must've messed it up again while I was gone. Sigh

I have a strong silent Santee too, but he seems a lovely bloke just the same. His package is on its way, I didn't want it to get caught up in that frantic pre-Christmas post office rush.

My Santa appeared a month ago so why am I being blamed for Becca's and Jacqui's lack of a Santa. And that wasn't White Cranberry Juice Jacqui was swilling. It was moonshine. None of you are any good or you wouldn't be hanging around my house.
SINS, who has been very good.

THANK YOU Quiet Santa for your wonderful news. Not only do I, indeed, have a Santa, but an active, thoughtful and caring one at that, one who sends me pressies. I am blessed, that's for sure :-)

I AM being good, I promise, scouts' honour and all that. I solemly swear that, although I must admit I did spend a few days up in Portland, ME this past August, I did NOT get corrupted by THAT WOMAN Mary Sullivan aka SINSULL - I'm such a poor, wee, naive, innocent thing, me, and my profound innocence protects me from any adverse influences :-))

However, Santa, I think it's time for a wee bitty confession here, now that the pressie has been sent. You see, Santa, I actually liked the people I met at the Sullivan residence, every one of them.. I know I probably shouldn't say this, but I feel it's important to be honest with you, so there you go. Forgive me, Santa, for I have sinned. But not very much, Santa. Whatever anybody else might tell you to the contrary, I shall strongly deny it. I did not go to any cemeteries with any strange men (I did enjoy the icecream and the company, though, Jed ;-)), and I also did not pose for piccies with the Nearly Headless Jesus in Mary's back garden - and any photographic evidence of any such occurrence must per definition be a fabrication.. I certainly did not listen to any of Kendall's and Seamus Kennedy's naughty jokes, and even if I may have heard snippets here and there, I definitely didn't understand a word of it, I'm far too innocent for that ;-))

So, you see, Santa, I'm all squeaky clean and pure of heart and mind, and please don't let anybody convince you otherwise, 'cause that would not be fair. I may have made - in all innocence, of course - a few minor mistakes during the past year, but nothing for you to worry about, Santa Dear..

Yours respectfully,

Bente

Pleeeeze, Auntie SINS, I did no such thing.. I apologized for sinning, and unless you equate visiting your good self with sinning, that can hardly be construed as apologizing for visiting, surely? I only mentioned you, 'cause my Santa explicitly warned me not to get corrupted by you, see, and so obviously I had to alleviate Santa's fears on that score..

Cor blimey, is he a SIR?? Should I have courtesied, then??

Bente, I wouldn't be too sure that Nearly Headless Jesus won't be appearing in Jylland any time soon. Where there's a will, there's a way, especially where Sins is concerned. And it may just be his head that shows up, you never know.

Oh, well. Potluck for the santa-less residents of this forum sounds like a good idea. I'll bring beef stew.

Tami, now you got me worried.. You will let me know immediately, won't you, if Nearly Headless Jesus (or parts of him) suddenly disappear from the grounds of the Sullivan residence?? I do know, indeed, that Auntie Sins is a formidable force to be reckoned with, and she did sound rather miffed in her last communication - she might even send me a few fur balls, if I don't step really carefully around her for a while..

As for the potluck, I'd like to join in, if you'll let me. I could bring a layer cake or two :-))

Best wishes,

Bente (on tiptoe so as not to waken the sleeping lioness)

Y'know, Elmer, just because your Santa doesn't spend time making up silly rhymes and clues and stuff doesn't mean he or she isn't a good Santa! Could be he or she is spending time gathering wonderful goodies for you.

Patience is all.

Patience is my middle name. I've been chasing a certain wascally wabbit since the last millenium.

Glad to hear from you Santa, if only to be bawled out once again. Golly whillikers. First you threaten me with coal, and now I get chewed out for, for, for, for--what????? Did I ever say you weren't a good Santa? What, pray tell, did I ever do to you, O invisible presence of presents?

I gratefully look forward to whatever, whenever, and however you have in mind.

Your patient, penitent, and one helluva nice Santee,

Elmer

fur balls?
I was channel surfing the other day and saw a program designed to show children how to make wonderful crafts out of household items. The worst was a plaster made from dryer lint. You take the dryer lint and mix it with Elmer's glue and coloring along with some flour. The whole mess is mixed and applied to a bottle then decorated with fake gems. A truly hideous item which set me to wondering if I could not retrieve cat and dog hair masses from the vacuum and create a similar treasure. Be afraid, Bente. Be very afraid.
Love,
Mary

N-n-now I-i-i-i-i'm s-s-s-shaking s-s-s-so h-h-h-hard I c-c-can b-b-b-barely type.... A handmade gift from Auntie Sins does conjure up images that will keep me awake for nights to come, that's for sure.. Only consolation that I can think of is, that fur balls will probably be construed as "animal produce" and safely removed by the customs authorities before the package lands in my mailbox.. :-))
