Can't blame our puppy - he hates stairs so wouldn't even think of going upstairs at Mary's. When I'm in the cellar doing the laundry he just sits at the top of the stairs waiting for me to come back up.

It's more likely to be Ed or Alice - both of whom have been known to get their own back on visitors!

ED and Alice are two of Mary's four cats.

Alice is a slut and will attach herself to anyone who shows an interest although she does have a preference for men. She also has the habit of pissing on any soft surface - coat, bag, afghan... - that has been left laying around.

Ed is a giant size moggy with one hell of a temper. He just about rules the roost and his favourite trick is to throw up any food that isn't to his liking. Most of the time he can be a real sweetie but you have to watch him fairly carefully as he can turn.

However, as per the rule in Mary's house, her cats can do no wrong!

This is a very large stuffed bone in a lovely print which I suspect is used as a support under the knees. It is not Carole's - couldn't play this one and I did change the sheets so it would be a Saturday night GUEST.
