Subject: Lyr Req: phonetic lyrics source From: GUEST,celtic lady Date: 19 Dec 06 - 04:21 PM Does anyone know a source to obtain traditional irish song lyrics written phonetically for learning the songs in Gaelic? I have found one Mel Bay Songbook with a few songs in it that includes a CD for just this purpose but it is very limited and there are many songs I would like to learn the gaelic lyrics for. Thanks |

Hope those help. That first listing is available at a lot of different palces, from what I saw on google. |

I had the good fortune to meet the lady at an Irish language summer school in Donegal this year..she's a great singer and runs a "Gaelic" choir near San Francisco. She developed her phonetic system and produced the book (which includes a CD) especially for Americans who have no Irish. Go n-eirigh an t-adh leat! Dáithí |
