Azizi, I've found your forum to be an excellent and fun read and good resource.

Jim Lad, kendall was right on that other thread. Took me over an hour to download Peter Kagan & The Wind on a dial-up, but it was worth it. Absolutely wonderful. I've had the Gordon Bok album since it was new, and you've still made me cry. You understand the heart of it. I would buy a CD or two in a New York minute, but downloading is tough!

I'm the one in the red jacket

Anyone feel like booking a noisy ceilidh band, complete with disco lights?

Or if you fancy something more subdued, PM me and I'll find some other musicians to work with.

If you live in or near Cheshire UK I'll give you a good time

50megs doesn't allow me to have my songs directly on the site for listening, but I've put links to my songs at EZ-Folk and at Motagator. I hope you like my site and the songs at those sites.

Ok so one step on from this thread is, can we all help each other out with gigs in our respective parts of the world? Are we all struggling? Do we all send Email after Email begging some clubs and fests to consider us now please. Hard work isn't it? How about putting on a 'Cat' concert and raise some money for a charity or something?

"Trip to the Lakes" Boat Band, Harbourtown Recds HARCD047
"Hypnotic...refreshing honesty" fRoots
"Sparky unusual and quirky...superbly researched" Living Tradition
"superb" Musical Traditions
"Brilliant" Johnny Adams, Village Music Proeject
"splendidly upbeat...superbly arranged" Rock'n'Reel
Rod Stradling (editor of Musical Traditions) picked this as one of the "ten albums that changed my life" in his recent article.
"Greg Stephens is one of those musicians that makes other people's lives fuller. I have admired him for a long time" (Eliza Carthy, "Rough Music" liner notes)

On the subject of coming down south. You know there's no polite way to photograph & fingerprint your visitors. Can't seem to get used to that.

These cloying attempts to curry favour and get others interested in your sad pointless music is a poor commentary on today's society.
This sort of thing should be banned. But since it is allowed, I suppose that now we all have to follow suit.
If I did, my site might look something like this Revolting image.
I hate buckling to peer pressure.
I hate myself. Gotta go eat worms, now.
