Thanks, Adrien.

I think both teams will feel like they are looking in a mirror. Except that the Wings don't have a Roberts, or a Ruutu, or a Laraque. So I think we will eventually have better crease access-- there are only so many minutes Chelios can play. But the Wings will have that wily hockey expertise..... I think I will be buying a lot of blank videotape.

But WAAAAAAAHHHHH! No hockey, till SATURDAY?!?!?!?!?

Um, back to the ECHL for a coupla days, maybe AHL....

YES! YES! YES! You know, I have been worried since that second loss to Dallas, but just minutes before the start of tonights game
I had a calming feeling come over me that indicated the Wings were
going to win tonight - just a feeling, I'm not claiming any sixth
sense or anything, now.

So, it's on to meet the Pens. I have great respect for Crosby,
Maltkin and Hossa - it should be a great series. GO RED WINGS!
Cheers - from Hockeytown South.

Trying to look at this whole playoff objectively I do believe that the two best teams have come out on top and lets hope that they both play to their potential. Detroit in 7.

It WAS a beaut. They certainly deserve to win. D'ya think if they know how much I rooted for 'em they'll be nice and give our Pens home ice?

:~)

BTW we have our predictions going here at home already.

We think that if the Pens can manage to win both of their first two at Mellon, they may stand a chance. And we want Roberts in all 7 games.

Don't know about PalTalk Susan. Must be a cost if it is anything like PayPal.
"Z's" goal was a beauty. A little concerned with the number of penalties by McCarty. Maybe he is not use to the new rule changes.

I don't understand; but, I'm not happy and it stinks! Sure, Dallas has played better since losing three, but the Wings have done a one-eighty in terms of aggressive play and tape to tape puck control.
Something has gone wrong and I sure don't know what it is unless it's
in the Wings head or their heart. If Dallas eliminates my boys from the cup finals it will be tough to live down here in North Texas for
awhile - and it's hot enough already. GO RED WINGS! BEAT DALLAS!
Cheers.

I'm working at an auction all day today and will hit the computer as soon as I get home to read the results of this afternoon's game. I visualize a 4/2 victory for the Wings. Truth be I don't care if it is a 1/0 win. Just as long as they put Dallas away.

Big Mick - that Jamers and a pint sounds good. Frankly, I'm a little
worried about tomorrow. I've read several articles written by folks who think the Stars are going to do it to the Wings, and, again, if
the Wings don't put them away tomorrow then it becomes 3-2 and back to Dallas. Another thing - Turco has gotta win at The Joe sometime
and I just hope it's not tomorrow.

Logically, I know that the Stars are not the better team, but hey, this is Stanley Cup playoff hockey and a weird bounce or a bad call by some idiot zebra and sure enough you're on the golf course. So
here's a tip-o-the-hat to the Wings - GO RED WINGS! Cheers.

Not surprised Philly took one; surprised it took 'em 3 games to adjust to injuries to their key players. Malkin will still be sent out against Briere now that home ice will give last-change rights to Pens.

Five games = happy. Six games = a tad worried. Seven games = expected that.

TG, meet me at the corner pub. I need a drink. I just wanted them to sweep the damn Stars. But they will be fine. I am really not all that distraught, but it seems like a good excuse for a jar of the vile dark stuff.....***chuckle***. Anyway, a little Jamers, a pint, and we can talk about how the Fighting Irish are going to do in the fall. And mebbe sing a song or two?

Well, Kelly and I were at the game and the Wings were just flat most of the night - there were moments of brilliance, but generally, they
just came out flat as if they didn't care. Met some really nice folks at the game, though, some in red and some in green. It's nice
to be around folks who can take no quarter and still smile and shake hands after you win or lose. We'll get 'em Saturday - at "The Joe."
GO RED WINGS! Cheers.

Well, we DO have alcohol here too. :~)

Ya know that hockey commercial where the new dad bangs in the nursery glass? "Loser! Loser! Best baby in the world!"

Yesterday I was just putting up my workout gear at the side of the pool at the end of a 3-hour workout, when suddenly someone was banging on the glass that divides the pool from the lobby. "A hockey fan!" was my first hopeful reaction as I turned to look. But no, it was our purple-clad Bishop and his traveling staff, waving hello! :~)

This hockey thing is starting to take over the rest of my life, too. :~)

Semi finals have been very one sided. If your not a Penguin or Red Wing fan then it must be very boring. However if you are a Pen and Wing fan what a final it is shaping up to be. Here is keeping fingers crossed.

WOW! Even Barry Melrose is now saying how good the Red Wings are.
Bob Sturm of "The Ticket" said on the post-game show that the Wings
simply put on a "clinic" in their 5-2 win. Tomorrow night, win or lose, it will be a thrill to be able to see this team, at this time, in their streak to the Stanley Cup. If you're a hockey fan, this is
really good stuff; if you're a Red Winger this is simply special.
We'll be at the A2 Center tomorrow night - GO RED WINGS! Cheers

Didn't see the game Tex as I'm not subscribed to the sports station. Maybe I should look into it for next year just for the play offs. I rarely watch television so it really isn't worth spending the money for all those programs. However, it sure would be great to watch the Wings now. I'm going to my sons' house for tonights game. Will probably see what the fuss was all about.

As a prelude to tonights game let me write that I am so sick and tired of the local media bally-hooing about the Osgood/Ribeiro thing that I just had to turn it off - I hope the Wings kick the dog out of the Stars tonight and beat 'em 6-0.

I saw the replay and yes, Osgood stuck his stick out there to interfere with Ribeiro - but he did it blindly - he didn't try to
put his eye out; Ribeiro, on the other hand; did a really stupid thing coming across the net with his stick. Was Osgood hurt?
Certainly not. Is he a bad actor? Surely he is. Would anyone else
carry out a similarly poor acting stint? Probably so.

In a rare example of level-headedness the NHL chose to fine both
players and basically say, "grow up kids, we got work to do, now get back in there and play." Thank you NHL for not over-penalizing these two clowns.

That being said, let me say, "no thank you" to the Dallas media for giving us an all-day rant about the incident and electing to talk and talk and talk and talk about the damned incident - ALL DAY - one program after another. Ya know - there was a 60-minute hockey game played before that incident you bozo's; let's talk about what the Stars need to do to break Detroit's strangle-hold on them, or about how good the Red Wings are and that they could sweep the Stars over the next three days.

But ya know - maybe I've got a problem too, for listening to it for
most of the day. GO RED WINGS! Cheers.
