Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: GUEST,henryp Date: 18 Jan 13 - 03:22 PM Thanksgiving and terror of loss Make all but my love of life dross And keep me in mind of the ones who are kind And all of these just shareable thoughts. I went to see Nic Jones last night. It was the most emotional concert that I have ever been to - I can still hardly speak. He sang this. |

Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: Janie Date: 17 Jan 13 - 10:41 PM At any point in time for some storm clouds may gather and the waters roil while for others, the sun may appear, the wind may calm and seas subside. It can give the illusion we are on different boats, sailing separate waters. A paradox. Existence is paradoxical. We are in fact all still rowing the same boat. Together. Love and light to all. |

Not quite sure which is worse? She is her usual smiling self, she is quite amazing!! Wendy xxxxx |
Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: billybob Date: 16 Jan 13 - 07:38 AM Just having a coffee if anyone would like to share, it is a big coffee pot! I have just caught up with everyone and send the most healing thoughts to all, (such good news Pete,) so this crew is having a powerful effect. I am really so in awe of the collective love and kindness that the is being focused here, it is indeed a very important place in the mudcat family and is the first place I go to every morning and last thing at night. At the moment my main concern is my dear mum, and when I am awake with her during the night the Rainbow is where I go to find companionship and support. Long may we all sail together through fair weather or bad, with love Wendy xxxxxxx |
Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: Bugsy Date: 16 Jan 13 - 12:05 AM THanks for all the tboughts and prayers that have come my way. My mate Roy is going for tests today to see if his cancer has spread. he currently has asophageal(?) cancer. If it hasn't, he MAY be a candidate for surgery. If it has he's been given 6-9 months. He's one of the friends I said makes me feel lucky to only have Kidney Cancer. Thoughts and prayers for him would be much appreciaated. He's told me he will let me know the outcome this afternoon (West Aussie time) and I'll pass on any info as soon as I hear. He's a Great Singer/Songwriter and an alround good bloke. Cheers Bugsy |

Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: Wolfhound person Date: 15 Jan 13 - 05:24 PM Thanks, people. Richard is through the surgery successfully and is doing as well as can be expected: the docs think they've "got it", but need to do all the tests to be sure. All down to your (and some of his other friends) help, I'm sure. Much appreciated. Paws |

Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: Nigel Paterson Date: 15 Jan 13 - 11:28 AM Paws & your friend Richard, you are most welcome to come aboard. I see you've already been greeted by Pete J., Sandra & Wendy. We all hope & trust that Richard's surgery is successful & that it was an early intervention. Paws, when you have a moment, read through some of the earlier comments in our Thread; get to know some of the most warm-hearted, generous spirited folk with whom it's ever been my privilege to correspond. A word of warning though, a few are definitely borderline crazy, but we find room for them, just the same! (-; With Love, Nigel & Ann. xxxxxxxxxx |

Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: Nigel Paterson Date: 15 Jan 13 - 05:36 AM Janie, I clearly need to apologise to you too for grasping the wrong end of the stick, big time! On reflection though, I think, inadvertently, we have uncovered the potential to do more for the common good. Our thread remains, as is, but it can also serve as a 'hub', a conduit of news & information provided by individuals about their own threads & alerting us to the needs of others, of whose whose plight we may not be aware. ChanteyLass said that she would probably start her own thread if the need arose, but would still post here to let us know. Spaw has let us know about Bugsy. Almost certainly, I would have missed that. Positive news from Pete & Wendy; very good to read. Kat, thank you for the link to that wonderful story about Music & Cancer. If you haven't done so already, click on the link & be prepared to be moved & inspired. Janie, your post of 13th & Wendy, yours on 14th., in common with others, moved me to tears, but helped me to think & reassess my own situation. Today, the final words belong to Janie: "There is so much listening here." With Love, Nigel & Ann. xxxxxxxxxx |

Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: billybob Date: 14 Jan 13 - 06:40 PM Nigel, some time ago someone asked me if I thought I should start a thread for Billy amd me, but I thought then, and still do, that I felt safe here with the Rainbow crew, maybe not everyone who knows us on mudcat is sailing with us,but the enveloping love and support means so much to both of us.These friendships are long lasting and we will never lose touch! Janie, very happy to be included in a collective meditation, and thank you we had a very good day,Billy saw his skin cancer consultant today and he does not want to see him for three months! I feel stronger and better able to cope, thanks to the crew sailing onward, through snow and sleet tonight with a happy heart, Wendy xxxxxxxx |
Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: GUEST,pete from seven stars link Date: 14 Jan 13 - 06:33 PM i too was very touched by nigels and janies post and then warmed by wendys recounting of a good day.when the way is dark such shafts of light shed a little sunshine into our lives. pleased to report that tommy was safely taken off the ventilator yesterday and appears to be making progress and is expected to move from intensive care to high dependancy tomorrow.thanks to you all again. blessings pete. |
Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: Nigel Paterson Date: 14 Jan 13 - 01:06 PM Janie, you raise a very important point. Mudcatters must always retain their right to create their own threads as & when necessary. I would be deeply unhappy if this thread were to create an atmosphere of usurping an individual's right to post individually & independently. By extending the thread, I have to own up to my own selfishness; I don't want to lose touch with a single one of you. With Love, Nigel & Ann. xxxxxxxxxx |

Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: billybob Date: 14 Jan 13 - 06:08 AM I woke up this morning to bright sunshine, my brother stayed last night to sit with mum so Billy and I had the first good nights sleep since Christmas, also yesterday was a good day. I sent Billy off to spend the afternoon with Samantha and the grandaughters and he returned home with a roast dinner so I didnt have to cook. While he was out I had a long and fullfilling phone call with our lovely vicar Robert and he is going to visit with mum sometime this week. The absess on my wisdom tooth that has been a constant pain for a few days has gone overnight! Billy has just made me breakfast in bed!! So sending very positive and loving thoughts to all the crew, Wendy xxxxxxx |
Subject: RE: Healing thoughts & prayers please (Nigel Paterson) From: Janie Date: 13 Jan 13 - 08:59 PM This is in many ways a collective thread of caring and sharing, and very powerful for that - thank you Nigel. Awkard long sentence alert. Fwiw, I sincerely hope for the many people posting here who are currently dealing with their own personal situations that those of you who wish and would find it supportive to reach out for focused support or need to share a focused narrative that you will not hesitate to post a separate thread also. I, for one, while holding all of you inclusively in my meditations, welcome such threads that help me to specifically recall and focus my attentional processes, and help me contemplate and relate on a very personal level. |
