Well arent you a rare little blood group then. Culture at least implies a breeding group and I was referring to the principle genetic source material through which we inherit our characteristics, I think on this basis a "Celtic race "or at least common genetic pool can be argued for the Western Fringe peoples of Scotland, Ireland , Wales, Cornwall, and Brittany as opposed to the Anglo-Saxons and other central Europeans who arrived later and changed the genetic balance. One of the characteristics that differentiates is the preponderance of Group O as the commonest Blood group. High among the A/Ss, Low among the Western Fringe it links also to certain other so called "Racial characteristics" that is gene linked, Eye colour, and straight black hair among others common in one group not in the other .There is published stastical work on this but I haven't got it to hand at the moment.

Celt is a term referring to languages and cultures, not blood groups, or race. There is not and never has been a Celtic race. And I'm blood group O positive.

As you say "Oh bollocks" I am suspected by colleagues of wearing a long black cloak and hanging upside down in a closet during the daylight hours. To reassure them I tell them that for a Celt to make a compatible blood type hit is not easy as O is a rare bloodgroup for us. Celts are mostly A or B or AB.(I am B+) the trouble is reading the threads is so interesting!! So late nights and dozy days is the formula, or resort to illicit substances.

I wouldn't worry Magpie. Alison has accused be of being a vampire because I am up all night with Mudcat and chat rooms. I am not working and my internet connection is free on the off peak hours so I rarely go to bed before about 6am.

Here I am, wallowing in Mudcat humour, learning new stuff about musicians I never even knew existed, reading about other people's like or dislike for Monty Python, AND IT'S ONE THIRTY AM!!!!!

Jayzus, I've got to be up at six tomorrow morning (or rather today), and I still haven't packed for the weekend, or showered, or finished preparing for work tomorrow - all because of this Mudcat thing.

Shite! I'll be knackered by lunch time.

Does this ever happen to you? (Please say yes someone! It would be so embarrassing if I was the only one.)
