Subject: BS: Goose Gander's Gobbler Red From: Goose Gander Date: 30 Jun 10 - 03:32 PM GOOSE GANDER'S GOBBLER RED (turkey chili) I pound ground turkey 2 packets chili seasoning (Lawry's etc.) I medium onion (diced) 1 teaspoon red pepper 1 teaspoon black pepper 2 teaspoons paprika 1 teaspoon cumin 2 or 3 cans pinto beans (rinsed) 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cups water Saute onion in 1 tablespoon olive oil, add turkey and cook until brown. Add seasonings and blend, adding second tablespoon of olive oil as ingredients combine. Add beans and turn down heat to a simmer. Add water 1 quarter cup at a time until desired consistency is achieved. Let cook on low for 45 minutes. Serve with cornbread or corn tortillas. |
