"Police in Lake Mary, Florida, arrested George Zimmerman Monday afternoon after being notified by his wife that he was allegedly threatening her and her father with a gun.

WKMG-TV reported that police were called to the home of Shellie Zimmerman's parents, David and Machelle Dean, and were investigating the incident.

Shellie Zimmerman's lawyer announced on Thursday that she had filed for divorce, and she told ABC News in an interview that he had been behaving recklessly since being found not guilty of murder in July 2013 after shooting and killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in 2012.

"I have a selfish husband," Shellie Zimmerman told ABC. "And I think George is all about George."

Why am I not surprised?

As I mentioned before, I used to know a guy who was an ex-Marine and a gun-nut. He turned out to be downright dangerous to be around, so I made myself scarce. It was shortly thereafter that his wife divorced him. He kept his loaded .45 automatic on the bedside table, and she was increasingly afraid of such things as getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, then having her head blown off while coming back into the bedroom.

I know the type. Trigger-happy. "Have gun, itching to kill someone!"

Unfortunately, this type of person usually has to actually kill someone before they can lock him up. For the safety of the rest of us!

You will be happy to know that a monster snapping turtle climbed out of our pond yesterday, posed no threats to my cats and I went down and talked with him a little... His shell from front to back was right at 18-20 inches... Last I saw him he was headed to the creek... I only kill to protect my family (cats included) and I don not enjoy it...

As for Zimmerman??? He likes shooting people... Don is correct... George's life seems to be on it's way down the drain... I doubt if he can go the next year without being killed or incarcerated...
