Found out yesterday, same exact situation as P-Vine. We been married 38 years .. I will be 58 to give you an idea. We also need your prayers and thoughts. My doc buddie said it has been caught early but will be a rough ride. Everything should be ok .. won't know until the lymph nodes are tested

My prayers- lighting a candle here in Cleveland. I hope some of the kindness you show comes 'round back to your ladywife as good health outcomes.

FWIW - Try to take advantage of whatever support networks are available in your area. Here we have "The Gathering Place." Other cities have "Gilda's Club" - places that offer resources to those who've had cancer touch their lives (themselves AND family members). It's much less scary when you've got others around you who are farther down the same road & you can see that increasingly, it's a road that is a return to health.

One of the hardest things for me to do is keep my game face on ... I can't fall apart but inside I am dying .. just dying .. She is so strong, she just shrugged her shoulders and said well lets fix this ..

I try to smile and say see all the times they cut stuff outta me .. are your trying to catch up .. your turn I guess .. and she smiles and says well I just don't want to be left out of all the hospital fun . but we are both dying inside. Can't wait for this to be over with. Thank God for my doc buddie .. he brings me back down to earth when I lose it .. but never in front of her. I just have to believe him

Like others have said, early is good. The medical profession has come a long way in successfully treating breast cancers in the last 20 years. Still a frightening and threatening disease, but the odds are in her (and your) favor.
