It's hard to know what to do (or say) for the best here.
I often think of Theresa but am unsure weather she would apreciate a visit, or weather that would cause her more unease, or even if she reads this!

Regardless, I wish her well!!

I think the most useful thing at present would be letters and cards which she can read and keep.

You know, I hate to be irreverent but I can't help picturing Theresa in one of those motorized shopping carts they have at the Christmas Tree Shop. Little tiny grey haired lady bellowing "Get out of my way. Crippled lady coming through."

Jacqui and I had the best fun once with one of those. LOL

And Tom has taken to using them since he hurt his foot.

Great possibilities for an afternoon out.

I heard from Sussex Carole. She visited Theresa who, true to form, is fighting the good fight.
When I grow up I want to be like Theresa.

I missed the Mudgather at Bedworth festival last weekend because I was working at another venue, but it was good to hear that there was a phone link to Theresa.

An old lady, at 70,
decided that it was time to

    MUST STILL BE GOOD IN BED!!!!!

On the second day, she heard the doorbell.

Much to her dismay, she opened the door to see a
grey-haired gentleman sitting in a wheelchair.
He had no arms or legs.

The old woman said, 'You're not really asking me
to consider you, are you? Just look at you...you have no legs!

The old man smiled, 'And therefore, I cannot run around on you!'

She snorted, 'You don't have any arms either!'

Again, the old man smiled, 'And therefore, I can never beat you!'

She raised an eyebrow and asked intently, 'Are you still good in bed???'

The old man leaned back, beamed a big smile and said,
'Rang the doorbell, didn't I?'

Thanks so much for the update. I have a very poignant memory from a Ramblewood Getaway of KT field recording Theresa, Colin K and me singing "Oil In My Vessel," that I had learned from Joe Thompson. Must have been 2 am or later.

I think of you often Theresa, with great fondness.

I am returning home today having spent a few days here in Manchester with Theresa. Despite her disabilities Theresa still has her zany sense of humour and sharp mind. I think it best that I start a new thread when I get home....so more later....

We just remember Theresa from many Whittleburys. She told us off for not practising while we were sitting in the horsebox, on duty but with nothing to do. So we started singing with gusto and got a message from Barbara in The Barn to keep it down because we were interfering with the Big Sing!!! T of course had disappeared having got us into trouble!!! We still laugh heartily over this.
