I've started this thread for two reasons:

1. There's no damned way I'm going to sit and wait for "The Mother of All BS Threads" to load.

2. I was hoping someone could give me a brief summary of what has been covered so far in The Mother of All BS Threads."

You can get the silly damn thing to load by clicking on the thingies to the right rather than on the thread title. You'll get a list of numbered sections of the thread. Click on one of the numbers. It will load reasonably fast.

You can then read it and you will discover that the MOABS thread is nothing more than a gigantic excuse for a bunch of restless minds to amuse themselves each day by typing a bunch of ridiculous BS that doesn't matter anyway.

Yes, just click on the little asterisk beside the number of posts and not the thread title itself and you will then be able to see the last page of posts. There will be a numbered list of pages along the top so you can read in sections, if you so wish to read backwards.

As LH said, it is just random (often wonderful) thoughts and some silliness. But it is so entertaining.

Some notes on the above:

1. I wrote the first three lines, got stuck, thought about offering them as a song challenge. Then, little by little it started coming to me. It's about why I'm never going to open the "Mother" thread, of course, and it stayed that way until the final three lines came to me and became the justification for the whole thing.

2. I don't know why about half of the lyrics I write fit the tune "My Darling Nellie Gray," but it seems they do.

I just noticed the redundancy of the fourth and seventh lines. Let me see:

That threat is enough to compel even the staunchest monkey lover to hide in MOABS forever. Not the Chongo for Prez bit, but the nice personable Chimpanzee in a business suit? Would that be and off the rack suit or a really expensive Italian tailored suit? Makes all the difference you see, cuz off the rack means he is safe ordinary chappie or chimpie. But the Italian jobbie... well it smacks of the MOB.
