Okay, so I can't find anything about this song in the Database except an article labled "Commentary", which may or may not be about the particular song I'm looking for.

The lyerics are right there in the commentary. :P

Though I have to say that I don't think the "nine bright shiners" are supposed to be stars. I think they're jewls or something.

Hi - it's probably best to search our database for [green grow] in square brackets (in the blue search box above) and read all the entries. as I understand it, there are two songs with similar titles - one starts "I'll sing you one-o," and the other is by Robert Burns. There is a long and interesting history of these songs, and we have a wealth of information that you can find with a search of our database.
