Saw Colum sands in concert last week and bought a CD. But can't make out the words to the track "the note that lingers on".. can you help?

Colum sure has some very nice songs. I heard him sing several years ago in Derry and was enchanted.

My favorite CD of his is "All My Winding Journeys" (1996), perhaps because these were the songs I heard him sing in Derry. He also had a songbook of the same title (published in 2000). He is a wonderful songwriter and story teller.
